Umea, Sweden : Institute of Design at the University of Umea

Sitting on reindeer pelts sipping 'wolves claw' in a native Swedish domicile called a lappkata (teepee).  
These clothes smelled like a campfire the rest of my trip.

Hans Zucher on the left was a designer at Volvo in the 80s and is responsible for the hard-edged style that dominated that decade.  Next to him is a product design tutor who was once an Umea student.  On the far right is Mike Stott who runs the interaction design program at the Institute of Design and my host.
